I know where Mozart is not buried

Lulu where Mozart is not buried

Lulu was here so I have not had much time as I have been showing her around Vienna.

We saw a few sights and I took her to see where Mozart is not buried. He is not buried in lots of places - but he is particularly not buried in his marked grave.

There is a headstone to keep the tourists happy but the best guess is that Mozart’s remains are scattered somewhere in St Marx Cemetery and we will never know precisely where.

For Mozart fans this is of course not important.

We also went to see the Friedhof der Namenlosen which is one of my favourite places in Vienna. It contains mainly the nameless dead who were washed up on the banks of the Danube.

There is something particularly poignant about a grave that is simply marked ‘Namenlosen’.

Cate’s love affair with new sofa did not last long (well it never really started)and she has been itching for sometime to add bits to it to try to make it work.

This is not going to happen but on Saturday we went and bought a matching chair to see if it will add value to the entire scenario. This is unlikely.

This is coming from Denmark and will take three months to get here so by then she will have moved on - but I am on a roller coaster which I cannot stop so I just go along for the ride.

She has also been heard muttering about another Ottoman.

At some stage we will have to start building catwalks over the furniture so we can get from one side of the room to the other - but I am up for this.

  3. The cats wiLL love the catwalks too. But I bet they may do more than walk on them. I am thinking maybe sitting and running.

I am sorry about your furniture situation. My couch needs to be replaced - dog claws have damaged it. From a great distance and without my glasses late at night it doesn't look too bad.

I may have to get a new passport. My wife told me that Texas sent a petition of secession to the White House.

  5. SK Waller: I think Lulu had a nice time. She saw where Mozart lived as well as where he was not buried.

    smedette: Please tell Cate

esb: They certainly do things differently to most other states.

    Annie: Entirely predictable.
