Home grown idiot

We have had some wonderful rain here over the weekend and this was greatly appreciated by all our new plants and shrubs.

I am a bit worried about what happens to them during our Australian trip as we are going to have to ask the Cat Minder to do the watering. Still – all she has to do is turn on the timers so it should not be too hard.

I have my new leaf blower and mulcher - and am now looking at a snow blower. I think I am going to need one of these as our garage backs onto a lane which is apparently not cleared by the County. I can’t imagine being able to clear it all with a snow shovel.

Meanwhile – back in the Midwest – we have our own local idiot who has joined with the Tea Party asshats in Washington to close down the government and – if we get really lucky – ensure that the USA defaults on its debt. This would be quite a show.

He is Marlin Stutzman – and he knows he wants something to reopen the government - but he can’t quite put his finger on it.

His statement a few days ago was “We’re not going to be disrespected - we have to get something out of this. And I don’t know what that even is.”

This about average for Tea Party politics in the USA. Apparently they are on a mission from God.
