Sissi wants more snow like this |
Yesterday I raked the leaves from the lawn onto the path.
Now I have to get them from the path onto the back garden. This may be easier –
I will try the leaf blower which mulches the leaves.
It blows much better than it sucks. This will also be my snow blower if we get light fluffy
snow – but we will probably get wet sticky snow that I will have to shovel off
the deck and paths.
So far we have escaped almost unscathed as other parts of
the USA have been buried under mountains of snow. But I am sure our time will
come.
Did I mention that we are going to Alaska after Christmas
this year? We are arriving in Anchorage and then taking the train from
Anchorage to Fairbanks. Then we get an SUV and tootle about for about six days.
This is the type of stuff we do in winter.
I am finally starting to do the multitude of chores that
have been piling up since I became incapacitated. Of course I am digging about
in the kitty litter again and I must say it’s good to be back. When you have a
choice between doing kitty litter or being dead I will take kitty litter every
time.
I am glad you are not dead, I don't know if I had mentioned that lately.
ReplyDeleteI am just cooking my Uncle Ern's World Famous Soup for the first time in several months. It is a little cold here but no snow . . . most of the ten day forecast has highs in the mid 60's and staying above freezing at night.
My sister lives in Anchorage. I've never been to Alaska, but everyone says it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTake your old mate, Jameson.
I, too, am very happy you're not dead. Very.
More icy destinations (a friend of mine loves being near the poles at least as much as you do):
ReplyDeleteCold, colder, coldest ;-)
esb: Whats is in the WFS?
ReplyDeleteSK Waller: More so that Sarah Palin no longer lives there.
Merisi: You cannot have too much cold and snow
That one trip I am still waiting for, can't wait to hear about yours.
ReplyDeleteCat poo ftw :)
ReplyDeleteReally glad to see that you are doing well.
fmcgmccllc: will of course report in full.
ReplyDeleteKeegan88: Thanks.
This is a link to the recipe in my food blog:
