Maybe I'm just anxious and angry with the whole flying experience (read: TSA and shitty customer service from airlines).

There have been a few flights where I thought I was going to have a full-blown panic attack, but just have to keep reminding myself that the destination (usually) is worth the travel.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3804114935312811175.post-59831965702861121342011-06-24T03:54:42.118-04:002011-06-24T03:54:42.118-04:00esbboston: I reckon it would be very small - but w...esbboston: I reckon it would be very small - but we will happily increase it. I have never experienced more generosity by an airline than on an AUA flight: I was on a business trip and had a business class ticket and my teenage daughter joined me on the last leg, from Vienna to DC. I asked if it were possible that she be seated in one of the first rows of economy, to be closer to me. They checked the reservations and asked us to wait, while the other passengers boarded. At the end, they invited the girl up to business class. Incredibly generous, they treated her like a princess!

I always recommend Austrian Airlines to visitors from the States, and they love it, economy or not.

The image on top of your previous post is exquisite: the light in Vienna on a day in June is special, isn't it?Merisihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16781937797213521146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3804114935312811175.post-73033305896821140062011-06-22T19:51:09.418-04:002011-06-22T19:51:09.418-04:00Once upon a time, I was so frightened of flying, I...Once upon a time, I was so frightened of flying, I paid $400 to Ansett to do their Fear of Flying course.
I found myself in a classroom with a pack of loons!
It made me feel so much better about myself
(a little bit like when you tell us of your misadventures).freefallinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08863000229609701796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3804114935312811175.post-61507131337569107472011-06-22T17:50:35.783-04:002011-06-22T17:50:35.783-04:00I haven't been able to find out what percentag...I haven't been able to find out what percentage of the Peoria population is atheist, but I did find this group:

http://www.meetup.com/Peoria-Humanist-Society/

If I had a choice between donkeys and birds, I bet the donkey would be a much quicker death, it just depends on the quantity of animals and their quality/quantity of teeth, hooves, claws and beaks.esbbostonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09946279220170973147noreply@blogger.com
